Koji Out For Rest Of Season [VIDEO]
Koji Uehara's season is over. The Red Sox closer has a non-displaced distal radius fracture of the right wrist. The injury occurred Friday night in Detroit when Ian Kinsler lined a ball back at Uehara that deflected off his wrist. Uehara picked up the ball and threw him out to end the game.
It turned out to be his 25th and final save of the year.
Koji saved 25 of 27 chances with a 2.23 ERA. He has a $9 million dollar contract for next year.
He is expected to make a full recovery.
