Washburn's Carsyn Koch will attempt to win a fourth NCAA Division II championship when she competes today in the 800M in Bradenton, Florida.

Koch is an All-American runner for Cedarville University in Ohio. This is her junior year at the school after a highly high school career running and playing other sports at Washburn HS.

Koch won the 800M national title at the 2016 Indoor and Outdoor NCAA Championships. She won the 2017 Indoor NCAA title back in March and now goes for back-to-back NCAA Outdoor titles.

Her time of 2:02.87 is the fastest time in the nation by about four seconds and so Koch will be heavily favored to win.

The preliminary race is set for 6:05pm this evening.

The 800M final is Saturday at 6:55pm.
