On March 7, 1918 Katahdin Trust opened its doors for the very first time in Patten, Maine.

To mark the occasion of its 100th anniversary, the bank has planned a weeklong celebration at all 16 branch locations throughout Maine. From Monday, March 5 – Friday, March 9, 2018, all visitors are welcome to stop by and enjoy refreshments, special anniversary giveaways, and enter to win the daily drawing including a $1,000 grand prize.

“We are very proud of the vision our founders had in mind when they established a small community bank in Patten 100 years ago,” shares Jon J. Prescott, Katahdin Trust President & CEO. “As I reflect on our centennial milestone, I am filled with gratitude for all that we have accomplished, the journey we have taken, and the plans we have for a successful future.”

Since the opening of its first branch in 1918, Katahdin Trust has expanded its services throughout the State of Maine. In addition to serving all of Aroostook County, its growth in the greater Bangor and Portland regions has been noteworthy. “We have been thanked many times over for becoming part of these communities,” says Prescott. “We feel privileged to be part of all the areas we serve and are indebted to our customers and our employees for our success. While many things have changed over the past 100 years, the commitment to assist our fellow neighbors has not.”

All 16 branches of the bank will be providing a weeklong celebration for customers and friends to enjoy. Stop in any day at the nearest Katahdin Trust branch for giveaways, daily door prizes and light refreshments. “We are so excited and proud to celebrate our 100th year in business,” says Krista Putnam, Katahdin Trust Vice President, Marketing. “This is a great opportunity to visit your local branch for some fun, good cheer, and enter for your chance to win cash or one of our daily prizes. We hope you’ll join us!”

There is no purchase necessary to enter or win. Giveaways and refreshments are available while supplies last.
