Jones Signs Deal With Revs

Jermaine Jones was one of the top players for Team USA at this summer's World Cup in Brazil and now he's joining the New England Revolution. Reports that Jones and the Revs have struck a $4-million-dollar deal to play in Major League Soccer (MLS) over the next year and a half.

The Revolution are currently 9-12-3 in the MLS standings, one point out of a playoff spot.

After spending 14 years playing soccer in Europe, Jones is taking advantage of new FIFA rules that allow him to make a one-time switch to the United States, where his father is from.

Soccer fans may best remember Jones for his goal against Portugal in that 2-2 World Cup game.

Jones will meet the media in Foxborough tomorrow.

The Revolution play their next game Saturday in Toronto. The next home game at Gillette Stadium is September 3rd.
