A simple home project turned up something pretty sweet.

My son was born with weak lungs. A touch of the 'ol asthma as a doctor from old-timey days would say. My wife suggested we rip up the carpets in our home and lay down a floating floor to help our boy breathe.

Lo and behold after the first incision my wife and I revealed hardwood floors hidden beneath decades-old carpet. Who would cover these glorious golden boards?

We lucked out. It didn't take long to clean out the rest of the house.

My son can now color and breathe a little easier.
