If you do everything yourself, and we mean everything, it will take you about six months and north of $1,500 to make a single sandwich.

The guy in this video posted to Reddit appears to have made everything in his chicken sandwich completely from scratch. He planted wheat for the bread, milked the cow to make the cheese, got honey from the bees, grew lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers, and even distilled ocean water.

And after half of a year of this poor man's life, how was his sandwich?

"...not bad."

Now, Subway seems like a pretty good deal, right?
