Woodstock RCMP responded to a vacant home on Wilmot Road shortly before 9:00 Monday evening after receiving a 911 call that the house was on fire.  Sgt. Don Daigle said the building was fully engulfed when police arrived.

The home was unoccupied at the time as the result of damage from a previous suspicious fire on August 13,  Daigle said.

The Lakeville Volunteer Fire Department remained on scene for several hours Monday night.  The house was totally destroyed.  Nobody was injured.

Anyone who was in the Wilmot Road area in the early evening of Monday, November 10 and may have seen something out of the ordinary is asked to call Woodstock RCMP at (506) 325-3000. You can also contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
