State Police say 27-year-old Aaron Leavitt was northbound on Route 2A in the unorganized township of TA R2 WELS shortly before 2 p.m. when he saw what appeared to be a vehicle in his lane heading towards him.

Leavitt jerked the wheel to the right and his tires went in to the soft shoulder, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Clark. In an attempt to gain control of the 2003 Honda, Leavitt turned the wheel to the left, over corrected and lost control of the car.

The vehicle skidded across both travel lanes and rolled over in the ditch on the opposite side of the road. The car came to rest in the upright position, Clark said.

Leavitt was wearing his seat belt and did not need medical attention.
