Houlton Man Pleads Guilty for Sharing Child Porn

A guilty plea from 58 year old David A. Russell, led to a sentence of 10 years in prison. Russell is guilty of sharing child pornography with two law enforcement officers who were working undercover.

Russell was also ordered to pay $7,250 in restitution to cover counseling for the two victims involved.

Russell had photos and video and admitted to sharing images of children having sex with adults. No evidence of local children being involved has been found.

Prior to his arrest Russell resigned as an advertising representative for the Houlton Pioneer Times.

Russell will be serving five years mandatory and a max of twenty years along with a $250,000 fine.
