It was a close game in the Star City, Tuesday night, as Houlton comes away with a 59 - 57 win over Presque Isle in girls high school basketball.


 

Houlton got off to a good start in the first quarter with a 23 - 9 lead. Presque Isle came back in the 2nd & 3rd quarters to keep it close and trail, 44 - 45. It was neck and neck to the end with the Shiretowners scoring 14 points and the Wildcats with 13 in the fourth. With less than a second left, Houlton's Kolleen Bouchard made her free throws and secured the win - At the final buzzer, Houlton, 59, Presque Isle, 57.

Emily Wheaton had 25 points and Emily Lagerstrom put 15 on the board for Presque Ilse. Kolleen Bouchard was named Player of the Game with 19 points and Aspen Flewelling had 16 in Houlton's win.
