BC goalie Thatcher Demko, Harvard senior Jimmy Vesey and Michigan freshman Kyle Connor make up this year's college hockey's Hobey Hat Trick.

In other words, the three finalists for the Hobey Baker Award that goes to college hockey's top player.

The award winner will be announced next Wednesday in Tampa Bay, part of the Frozen Four Championship festivities.

UMaine hockey fans are familiar with Demko. He is 27-7-4 with 10 shutouts this year. He helped the Eagles get to next week championship tournament with a sparkling 1.85 GAA and .936 save percentage.

Vesey has been in the news lately for passing up a chance to sign with the team that drafted him, Nashville, and opt for free agency. He was a Hobey finalists last year and has scored 56 over the last two years.

And Connor led the nation in points and goals as a freshman(35 goals, 36 assists). He's a first round draft pick of Winnipeg.
