Southeast District RCMP say the cyclist was traveling the wrong way on the exit ramp connecting Homestead Road to Berry Mills Road when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle.   The crash happened at approximately 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police say the car kept going and the cyclist suffered serious injuries. He was taken by ambulance to the Moncton Hospital.

The vehicle is described as being a dark blue, mid-sized car with white doors. It is likely there was considerable damage on the driver’s side with possibly a broken side mirror.

A collision re-constructionist was called to the scene and the crash is still under investigation.
