62-year-old Ned Hamara of Texas was hurt after a large rock fell on him on Mount Katahdin at Baxter State Park yesterday while he was hiking. Another hiker alerted park rangers.

Hamara was at an elevation of about 3,900 feet at the time and The Maine Forest Service used a helicopter to rescue him. He was then taken by ambulance to a hospital with upper and lower body injuries.

No word yet on Hamara’s condition.
