The third time was the charm for the Winslow football team. After losing the previous two state championship games, the Black Raiders reversed the trend Friday night with a 62-14 win.The Black Raiders got 7 touchdown runs from Dylan Hapworth as they put away the defending state champs from Leavitt High School away early. Hapworth finished with 228 yards rushing on 29 carries, kicked 8 extra points and recovered a fumble on defense.

Winslow had 8 possessions in the first half and scored on 7 of them. In addition to Hapworth's 5 in the first half, quarterback Bobby Chenard added a 1 yard plunge for the second score of the game.

The Black Raiders finish the season 11-0 while head coach Mike Siviski finishes his 30th season with the program earning his 6th gold ball in 9 trips to the state game.

The remaining 3 state championships will take place at Fitzpatrick Stadium on Saturday.
