Hanley Ramirez admitted 'I was trying to go to the moon' in the 9th inning with two outs, two runners on base and the Sox trailing the Yankees by two. Mission accomplished. A 3-run blast into the centerfield seats giving the Red Sox their best win of the year.

The 7-5 victory, combined with a Baltimore loss, means the Sox lead is back to two games over both the O's and Blue Jays.

It was the third walk-off win for the Red Sox this season.

Trailing 5-2 in the ninth, David Oritz and Mookie Betts drove in runs to make it 5-4 and get Ramirez to the plate.

How sweet was it for David Ortiz to hit his 537th career home run in the 8th inning. He passed Yankee great Mickey Mantle for 17th place on the all-time home run list. It was his 34th homer of the season.
