Husson University's Chandler Guerrette (Presque Isle HS) is one of nine finalists for the North Atlantic Conference Woman of the Year Award.

Guerrette finished her basketball career with the Eagles this past season, leading the team to a conference title and a first ever school win in the NCAA Tournament.

She was named both NAC Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, along with being named ECAC D-III New England Player of the Year.

Guerrette majored in Health Studies and is now enrolled in the Occupational Therapy graduate program.

Off the court, Guerrette has served as a student tutor, a substitute teacher.ed tech and volunteered at basketball youth camps and as a social media ambassador for 'The Life You Can Save' program.

Earlier in the month, Husson baseball player Ben Walls was named a finalist for the NAC Man of the Year Award.

Both awards will be announced in late July.
