Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning on the Trans-Canada Highway just north of Woodstock that sent one man to hospital.

Woodstock Fire Chief Ricky Nicholson tells us a Chevy Impala crashed into the guardrail in the westbound lanes in Jacksonville, N.B. around 6:15 a.m.

Nicholson said the guardrail went through the car. Woodstock Fire Department used the Jaws of Life and had to cut away the guardrail to remove the driver from the vehicle. He was transported by Ambulance NB to the hospital with undetermined injuries.

The RCMP in investigating the cause of the crash. Chief Nicholson said road conditions were good at the time.
