An illness that has been sweeping the Green Day camp has forced them to postpone the start of their sold-out North American club tour. The group made the announcement via a press release.

"We're so sad to announce we have to postpone three shows and cancel Toronto," they said. "Many of us have been battling this infection for days on end to be ready, and it just got the best of us.”

The tour was supposed to begin tomorrow (Sept. 20) in St. Louis, with stops in Chicago, Toronto and Detroit over the next four days. Now, they are expected to kick it off a week from today (Sept. 26) in Columbus, Ohio. They hope to reschedule the three U.S. dates. The Toronto show was part of the festivities surrounding the World Cup of Hockey and will not be made up. Fans requesting a refund can obtain one from the point of purchase.

The month-long jaunt reflects the only North American shows that Green Day have scheduled in support of Revolution Radio, which is being released Oct. 7. In January 2017, they will begin a stretch of dates across Europe. You can get full information at Green Day’s website.
