Legendary rocker Glenn Hughes is back with first first new solo record in eight years. Resonate will be released on Nov. 4 through Frontiers Music.

The follow-up to First Underground Nuclear Kitchen finds Hughes' backing band of guitarist Soren Andersen, drummer Pontus Engborg and keyboardist Lachlan 'Lachy' Doley on keyboards all performing to the record. Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith, a re-occurring collaborator, made a guest appearance on the album as well. While the tracklisting has not been revealed yet, song titles like "God of Money," "Let It Shine" and "Steady" have surfaced.

Discussing the record, Hughes commented, "My new album, Resonate, will be available in November. The first kind of a complete Glenn album... it is a ROCK album for ROCK fans and it's… HEAVY."

Going into further details, the "Voice of Rock" added, "It’s my first solo album in eight years. Everybody needs to know that this is absolutely a return to rock music as a solo artist for me. My work is very varied. Groovy, funky, soulful, although the genre has always been rock. But this album is probably the heaviest record I’ve done in at least 25 years. It’s dense. It’s dark. There’s some aggression on this record. Every bloody track is begging to be played live."

Hughes was enshrined as a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year, punching his ticket with his contributions to the MK III lineup of Deep Purple, resulting in Burn and Stormbringer. Following one more album before Purple disbanded in 1976, Hughes ventured onward, volleying between solo records, the collaborative effort with Pat Thrall in Hughes / Thrall, Black Sabbath's Seventh Star, Tony Iommi's Fuzed and Black Country Communion with Joe Bonamassa and Jason Bonham. Prior to all this, the rocker got his start with Trapeze in the early '70s.
