Gillette Stadium To Host 2016 Winter Classic

Gillette Stadium may soon be home to the Super Bowl Champs. News Year Day 2016 it will be home to the Winter Classic between the Bruins and Candiens.It has been long rumored that the Bruins were trying to get the classic played at the home of the New England Patriots, and several media reports our of Boston say it will happen on January 1, 2016. Joe McDonald of ESPNBoston.com has confirmed the the NHL's plans. The league will not make the official announcement until the All-Star game this weekend in Columbus.

This will be the second time the Bruins host the Winter Classic after the playing Philadelphia at Fenway Park in 2010.
