Gas Prices Relatively Stable
Gas prices in New England have remained fairly steady in the past week.
According to gas monitoring website, GasBuddy.com, Maine’s price at the pump went up just about a penny to $2.23 a gallon. Prices in Presque Isle were much higher, though. Most stations were charging $2.33 a gallon, on average.
New Hampshire’s gas prices also rose slightly to $2.19 a gallon. And in Vermont, prices at the pump went down a cent-and-a-half to $2.28 a gallon.
The national average jumped up 3.4 cents to $2.25 a gallon, which is a drop of 7.9 cents a gallon in the last month. However, the price is 2.7 cents a gallon higher than it was a year ago.
