Many streets in the city's north side have been blocked off by law enforcement and people are also being asked not to report officers' movements on social media.

The incident is ongoing at this time.

Travelers and residents in Fredericton and surrounding areas are being asked to avoid the area of Brookside Drive between Maine and Ring Road.
