Four Men Arrested in Connection With Suspicious Death

RCMP say four men have been arrested in connection with the "suspicious" death of a 60-year-old man in Bellefond, New Brunswick, just northwest of Miramichi.

Police responded to a report of an altercation involving several people on Bellefond Road around 8:30 Thursday evening. When officers arrived, they found a 60-year-old man unresponsive at the scene. The unidentified man was transported to hospital in Miramichi, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say three 24-year-old men and a 23-year-old man were arrested at the scene Thursday night. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.

The Northeast District RCMP and the RCMP Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate the case.
