UMaine Moves To #22, Fossier Wins Award [VIDEO]
The University of Maine men's ice hockey team received 75 votes and moved up to #22 in the latest USCHO poll released on Monday afternoon. The Black Bears went 1-1 this past weekend against the current #4 ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats.
Also Black Bear freshman forward Mitchell Fossier has won the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week award for the second consecutive week.
The Alpharetta, Georgia native has eight points on the season after the four point weekend and is currently tied for second in the nation in goals and points. The 3-1 UMaine men's ice hockey will take to the road as they face the Miami River Hawks for two games this weekend starting on Friday night.
