Get ready NASCAR fans! One of our own Aroostook County natives will be racing the magic mile in New Hampshire this weekend!
That's right, Fort Kent's own Austin Theriault will be racing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 12th!
Theriault says “I’m really looking forward to this weekend’s race in Loudon with the BetBomb.com car. I have a lot of confidence going into this race being at my home track that I have some laps on and just the experience I gained at Iowa in the Nationwide Series. The team is on a roll right now with back-to-back wins so I think we can have a solid run on Saturday and continue that momentum.”
Fans are invited to join Regan Smith and Austin Theriault for an autograph session on Saturday, July 12th, beginning at 12:50 p.m. EST at the JR Nation merchandise hauler in the New Hampshire Motor Speedway fan concourse.
Theriault finished 15th in his Nationwide Series debut at Iowa Speedway in May. After starting 17th, the rookie driver raced to as high as ninth before being shuffled to 15th after a late-race restart.
I know Austin has a large following and fan base right here in Aroostook County, and lots of folks will be making the trek to Loudon this weekend to show their support!
Good luck from Aroostook County, Austin!
