Former Black Bear Named UNE Coach [VIDEO]

Former UMaine Black Bear Kevin Swallow is the new hockey coach at the University of New England. He comes to the Biddeford school from Nichols College.

Swallow played at UMaine in 2008-09 and 2009-10 after transferring from Dartmouth.

He is 29-years-old and brings a 55-20-7 three year record with him. Swallow took NIchols College to the NCAA Division III national tournament the past two seasons.

At UNE, he takes over for Brad Holt. Holt had taken the Nor'easters from a club team to a D-III program over the past six years.

UNE now plays in the ECAC East Conference.

The Nor'easters play their home games at Harold Alfond Forum which opened in 2012.
