At a concert announced with only a few days' notice, Foo Fighters closed out the second day of Lollapalooza with a lengthy set at Metro, a small club in the Wrigleyville neighborhood of Chicago. As a bonus, they brought out Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell for a cover of Jane's Addiction's "Mountain Song."

Dave Grohl told the crowd, "Tonight we're gonna try and break our record for longest show ever, so I hope you brought comfortable shoes." According to Setlist.fm, they played 32 songs, including five of the 11 tracks found on the upcoming Concrete and Gold: "Run," "The Sky Is a Neighborhood," "La Dee Da," "Dirty Water" and "Sunday Rain." You can check out video of "Mountain Song" above, with several other highlights below.

Farrell took the stage about two-thirds of the way through the night. He has sat in with the Foo Fighters for "Mountain Song" on two previous occasions, at the Roxy in West Hollywood on Nov. 14, 2014 and a few months later at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif.

Towards the end of the set, they delivered some of their favorite classic rock tunes -- "Miss You" by the Rolling Stones, the Queen and David Bowie collaboration "Under Pressure," the Faces' "Stay With Me," "Breakdown" by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and AC/DC's "Let There Be Rock."

Concrete and Gold arrives on Sept. 15., and Foo Fighters will mount a full-scaled U.S. tour in mid-October that will keep them on the road for two months.
