Fly With Us Before The 14th Annual Crown Of Maine Balloon Fest [VIDEO]
Have you ever taken flight in a hot air balloon? Some of the crew from Townsquare Media Presque Isle did just that and want you to experience the thrill too.
At first, we were supposed to take off from The Forum, but the wind wasn’t just right. From there the pilot had us travel to a site right by the Paul Cyr Ranch and that’s where the fun began.
Wendell Purvis was our pilot and started ballooning in 1985 after a balloon landed in his back yard. Now a commercial rated pilot, he travels to events along the eastern US and Canada sharing God’s world from a different point of view.
Sarah Duncan, Susan McCormick, and Gary Freeman bravely climbed into Purvis’ balloon last week and took photos and video on how a balloon makes it from the trailer to the air.
The Aroostook River – The view from the air was absolutely breath taking and these photos show just how beautiful the County is from the air.
