Fire on MicMac Drive in Presque Isle Under Investigation

The Presque Isle Fire Department responded to a reported fire at a home on 53 MicMac Drive in Presque Isle Sunday night.

Firefighters arrived at around 8 p.m. and quickly knocked down the blaze. Damage was confined primarily to a bedroom and its contents.  One occupant of the house was treated on site by Crown Ambulance.  Caribou Fire Department provided station coverage.

The fire started in the bedroom, according to the Presque Isle Fire Department.  The State Fire Marshal's Office was called in to investigate the cause of the blaze.

The residential area is just across the street from Northern Maine Community College.
