The Presque Isle Fire Department responded to the blaze at 290 Skyway Street shortly after 9:00 p.m., according to Deputy Chief Adam Rider.  Twenty firefighters worked to bring the fire under control and remained on site until just before midnight.

Rider said there was extensive damage to one side of the duplex.  The tenants all made it out of the building safely. The rental property is owned by Geary Bonville.
