After seven seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers Chris Kemoeatu's football career was cut short when he learned he'd need a kidney transplant. That's when his older brother Ma’ake stepped up. He was deemed a 99-percent kidney match. Ma’ake Kemoeatu nose tackle for the Baltimore Ravens had to retire in order to perform this selfless act. It's refreshing to see an athlete give up something that he has dreamed of doing since childhood in order to save the life of his brother. In an age of sensationalism in the media, we need to hear about more Ma’ake Kemoeatus and less about the Ray Rices. The brothers are now recovering from their surgeries.
