Final: High School Basketball: Presque Isle at Caribou (Girls)

Tuesday night, one of Aroostook County’s oldest and most storied rivalries was renewed in Caribou. The Lady Vikings hosted the Presque Isle Lady Wildcats in a game that stayed tight throughout most of the night. The Wildcats were able to pull away in the 4th quarter on their way to the 68-59 victory.

Leading the way was Emily Wheaton with a game high 22 points for Coach Jeff Hudson’s team. Savannah Rodriguez contributed 12 points and Molly Kingsbury also put in double figures, with 10 points of her own.

For the Vikings, they were led by Paige Espling and Gabby Marquis with 13 points each. Caribou also got 11 points from Taylor Labreck.

The Cushman and Son’s Player of The Game was Savanah Rodriguez.

The Lady Wildcats will now play the Orono Red Riots while the Vikings take on Foxcroft.
