The 24-team FCS football playoff field is set and New Hampshire is the #1 seed. Villanova is a #6 seed. Richmond and James Madison are also in the field giving the CAA four teams in the playoffs.

Only the Missouri Valley Conference has more teams in the field with five.

UMaine played three of the playoff bounds teams - UNH, Villanova and Richmond. The Bears went 1-2 against those teams.

 

The 2014 championship field consists of 11 automatic qualifiers and 13 at-large qualifiers:
