A 79-year-old Quebec man has died following a motorcycle crash Wednesday afternoon near Renous, New Brunswick.

Northeast District RCMP responded to the accident on Route 108 around 2:50 p.m. It appears the motorcycle went out of control while negotiating a turn and went off the road, according to Cpl. Jason LeBlanc of the Blackville Detachment.

The victim, who was from Pointe-aux-Trembles, Q.C., was the only person on the motorcycle. He died at the scene.

LeBlanc said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
