UMaine and Binghamton were locked up in a 0-0 in the 12th on Easter Sunday until walks and errors did in the Black Bears. The Bearcats wound up with a 2-0 win and weekend sweep of the opening series in America East play.

Closer-turned-starter Logan Fullmer pitched nine solid innings for Maine. 10 strikeouts and three hits allowed.

Binghamton's pitching was just as good. Jake Wloczewski and Rob Hardy combined for 12 innings of five hit, shutout ball.

In the top of the 12th, the Bearcats scored two runs on three bunts, two Maine errors and no hits. Relief pitcher John Arel committed the two throwing errors and took the loss.

The series sweep makes Binghamton 7-14 (3-0 AE).

UMaine drops to 5-18 (0-3 AE).
