The Cleveland Indians have a $60-million present for their fans on this holiday weekend - free agent slugger Edwin Encarnacion. He will sign a three-year deal with an option for a fourth year.

Encarnacion hit 42 home runs and drove in 127 runs for the Blue Jays last season. He turns 34-years-old next month.

Cleveland will have to give up their first round draft pick as part of the signing of the free agent.

Red Sox retired DH David Ortiz was pushing for the Red Sox to sign Encarnacion.
