Valcourt had pleaded guilty on December 1 to fraud and forgery charges stemming from allegations dating back to 2012.

The New Brunswick RCMP’s Financial Crime Unit received a complaint in December 2014 from the Financial and Consumer Services Commission, alleging that between January 2012 and December 2014, Valcourt had defrauded 10 victims by signing them up for life insurance and then kept their premium payments. He also forged some life insurance documents.

If you suspect you have been the victim of this or any other type of fraud, contact your local police or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC) at 1-888-495-8501 or report it online at www.recol.ca.
