A 44-year-old Edmundston man faces drug-related charges after police say they found marijuana and a significant amount of methamphetamine at a local residence.

On Monday, the Edmundston Police Force and the Saint-Leonard RCMP Canine Section executed a search warrant at a residence on 39th Avenue in Edmundston. During the search, officers seized marijuana and a large quantity of methamphetamine pills.

On Wednesday, Edmundston Police arrested a 44-year-old man in connection with the search. He was released on conditions and will appear before a provincial court judge in Edmundston at a later date.

Police say the man's name cannot be released since he has not yet been formally charged.
