East Millinocket Police have been conducting an investigation for the past several weeks into the suspected manufacturing of methamphetamine at the Main Street apartment, according to Commander Peter Arno of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

On Tuesday,  officers say they found a significant amount of evidence that had been discarded in trash destined for the town’s landfill.

With help from the MDEA’s laboratory response team, East Millinocket police searched the apartment  and seized additional evidence of meth manufacturing, Arno said.  They also seized several grams of what they believe to be recently manufactured methamphetamine.

Police charged 31-year-old Beau Pelletier and 33-year-old Cynthia Burley, both of East Millinocket, with Class B Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs.
