Driver Injured When Truck Crashes Into Church in Sherman
A Stacyville man was taken to the hospital after he lost control of his pickup and crashed into a church in the southern Aroostook County town of Sherman.
State Police say 47-year-old Robert Catlin was traveling east on Main Street in Sherman in a 1998 Chevy S10 pickup Saturday afternoon when he went straight through a fork in the road.
The truck missed a piece of construction equipment and struck a church, according to Sgt. Chad Fuller.
Caitlin was transported by Patten Ambulance to Houlton Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Speed appeared to be a factor in the crash, police said.
The crash is still under investigation.
The Patten and Sherman Fire Departments assisted at the scene.
