That changed on Saturday as they won two close games to sweep the Hartford Hawks.Brian Doran had the hot bat as the Bears won both games by scores of 4-3. In game one Doran led a rally in the bottom of the 8th inning highlighted by his 2-run double to cap the three run outburst that led to the win. The hit was his second of the game.

In the second game Doran added another hit and 2 runs batted in helping Maine improve to 4-6 in the conference, 14-19 overall.

Freshman Justin Courtney got the start and went the first 5 innings allowing just 4 hits on the way to his second win of the season. Logan Fullmer pitched the last two innings to pick up the save.
