Watch Def Leppard Perform at London NFL Game
The NFL returned to London on Sept. 28, and the members of Def Leppard were on hand to amp up the action -- minus guitarist Vivian Campbell, whose latest round of cancer treatment forced the band to seek sub-in help from Trixter's Steve Brown.
You can watch video from Brown's Def Leppard debut below, including glimpses of the band running through 'Pour Some Sugar on Me,' 'Animal' and 'Let's Get Rocked' in front of the crowd at Wembley Stadium (as well as a gaggle of cheerleaders) gathered to watch the game between the Miami Dolphins and Oakland Raiders. (The 2-2 Dolphins defeated the winless Raiders, 38-14.)
Enthused vocalist Joe Elliott: "Having most recently visited Wembley in May to watch Sheffield United in the FA Cup semi-final, I know what the atmosphere in the ground is like for ‘our’ football, so I’m really looking forward to performing there before the NFL game and of course soaking up the excitement of the actual match. I can’t wait!"
Brown will stick with Def Leppard for a trio of upcoming gigs scheduled to take place in October and November, with Campbell scheduled to resume his role in the band next year. Trixter, who reunited in 2008 and ended a long gap between albums of new material with 2012's 'New Audio Machine,' have another album planned for 2015.
