The Boston Celtics got Isaiah Thomas back in the lineup Friday night and what a difference that makes. Thomas scored a game high 26 points in a 96-88 win over Steve Clifford's Charlotte Hornets.

Clifford is the former UMaine Farmington and Woodland HS coach who is in his fourth season as Hornets head coach. His team played with Kemba Walker, probably their best player, who was attending to some personal matters. The Hornets have lost four straight games.

Al Horford filled out the stat sheet again for the C's, 18 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks.

The Celts were trailing 79-77 in the fourth quarter when they ripped off a 15-0 to put the game away.

The Celtics improve to 14-12. The Hornets are 14-13.
