The Caribou Police Department received several complaints December 12 about a suspicious person looking in windows and going through vehicles.

Officers Chad Cochran and Ricky Pelletier followed the suspects tracks where they spotted a male. The suspect took off running, and after a lengthy foot chase, Officer Cochran located 27-year-old Adam Guerrette of Caribou and placed him under arrest.

Guerrette is charged with burglary, multiple counts of burglary of a motor vehicle, multiple counts of theft, violating conditions of release and refusing to submit to arrest. Several pieces of stolen property were recovered, said officials.

Guerrette was held with no bail and has a February 2018 court date.
