A 19-year-old Fort Fairfield man was arrested for operating under the influence after a crash in Perham Saturday.

Seth Cote went off the Woodland Center Road around 12:48 a.m. and struck a utility pole guide wire and trees with his pickup, said Sgt. Jeffrey C. Clark, Maine State Police, Troop F. There were three other passengers. All had their seat belts on and the airbags deployed. One suffered a small laceration to the face.

Sgt. Clark said Cote failed to negotiate a sharp right hand corner in the road. The 2012 Chevrolet skidded across a private driveway and lawn. After striking a utility pole guide wire, it came to rest in some trees. The residence lost electrical power. The driver’s side front wheel was ripped from the truck, said Clark.

Trooper Desrosier and Tr. Kilcollins responded to the scene.
