Old Town baseball scored two runs in the first inning and then senior pitcher Ethan Stoddard took care of the rest as Coyotes beat Ellsworth 2-0 in their Class B North semi-final.

Old Town will play in its second straight regional final Tuesday afternoon when the opponent will be Erskine Academy. The Eagles were 6-1 winners over Hermon.

Cole Daniel drove in the Coyotes first run with a RBI triple. Austin Sheehan brought the second run in on a sacrifice bunt/error play.

Then Stoddard went to work. His no-hitter was broken up with two outs in the 7th inning. Ellsworth's Austin Baron hit a single to rightfield.

Stoddard struck out five and walked two. He induced 13 ground ball outs.

Brad Smith pitched well for Ellsworth. The junior scattered nine hits, struck out seven and walked two.
