The recognition was made based on Katahdin Trust Company’s commitment to the communities it serves and has been awarded to the Bank for a number of years.

This most recent award was made for 2015, during which the execution of Katahdin Trust Company’s radio advertising in tandem with the online presence of Katahdin Corner culminated in a substantial investment to local communities and organizations.

Throughout the year the Bank highlights community organizations and non-profits to encourage the support of a variety of initiatives ranging from increasing awareness of community activities such as festivals, trade shows, theatrical productions, etc. to raising funds for food pantries, humane societies, scholarships, Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, United Way and many more.

“The Bank is committed to making a difference in the communities we serve,” said Jon Prescott President & CEO.  “Senior Management is extremely supportive and proud of the volunteer efforts of our employees, which consistently exceeds 10,000 hours per year, translating to nearly 60 hours of service per employee.
