The UMaine women's basketball team had a four point lead after one quarter and was tied 29-29 at the half in Clemson Friday night, but the Tigers have a better second half and beats the Bears 69-61.

Two Clemson players, Nelly Perry and Danielle Edwards, killed Maine scoring 41 of their 69 points.

Sigi Koizar had 21 to lead the Black Bears. She was the only player in double-digit scoring.

Maine committed 18 turnovers and Clemson turned them into 19 points.

Clemson is off to its best start in years, now 8-0.

UMaine falls to 3-5.
