When it comes to Christmas shopping, I'm probably like a lot of men out there.

You've probably heard the stories about men when they go shopping at Christmas time. That we're all a bunch of procrastinators who wait until Christmas Eve, then go pawing over whatever is left in the stores and don't put much thought into the gift-giving process.

Well, I wish I could say I'm not "that guy." I wish I could, but I can't. Although in my defense, I'm not quite that bad.

I usually am finished shopping before Christmas Eve (although some years that hasn't been the case). And I'm not a "paw-er." When I go shopping, I know what I'm looking for and I don't spend extra time (hours) looking through all the aisles or each little knickknack. Holiday shopping is chaotic enough without adding to it by spending more time looking for that elusive "perfect gift."

I guess men are wired differently when it comes to shopping. If it's not on the list, I don't go searching for it.

I suppose I could be more thoughtful or creative when it comes to buying presents. But, when someone tells me what they would like for Christmas, I take them at their word and don't search for something I "think" they "might" like.

I still have a couple of things yet to buy, but I should be wrapped up (pardon the pun) by the weekend. At least it's not December 24th........ yet! Happy shopping.
