Chris Pratt made an important pit stop from his Passengers press tour on Monday, December 12 when he visited the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, California for a special free screening of the new film, as well as a meet and greet with military members and their families.

After arriving at the base, Pratt reportedly ran over to the hundreds of fans lined up to see the movie, where he spent time giving autographs, talking and talking photos with military family members, many of whom have loved ones who are currently deployed.

"It means the world [to me]. Anyone who dresses up and puts on the uniform and defends our freedom, I'm down to just meet them anywhere they'll let me," Pratt told NBC San Diego.

The actor also spent time with many active duty military personnel before his sci-fi drama, in which he co-stars alongside Jennifer Lawrence, screened inside the Bob Hope Theater located on base.
